The goal of AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed)is to get as much of God's word as we can, as deep as we can, in as many kids as we can. Through Scripture memory, Bible teaching, exciting awards, and a high-energy game time, we present the gospel in an engaging way. We encourage children to hide God's word in their hearts and apply it to their lives, and give parents tools to foster discussion and help them train their children in the Christian faith.

Awana is a joint children's ministry of Blessed Sacrament Church and the Anglican Church of the Resurrection. Our club is unique in that we strive to combine the evangelical strength of the Awana material with a high church emphasis firmly rooted in the historic Christian faith and incorporating the church year, the examples of the saints, and more. Any interested child is welcome.
